Jürgen Dünhofen is a multidisciplinary artist. He graduated with a BFA from The Michaelis School of Fine Art (University of Cape Town). Following his undergraduate’s studies, he moved to South Korea and took part in several artist residencies. Delving into perception, meditation and Eudaimonic migration, his series Myopia developed into various iterations. His pursuit in uncovering new practices in his work led him to complete his MA at the Kunstuniversität Linz.

Dünhofen’s current work explores the fraught relationship between humanity and the natural world. Working across diverse media including lenses, wood, motors, grass and mycelium, he examines our urge to dominate nature and the consequences of exploitation. He currently lives and works in Budapest, Hungary.
